International Conference in Japan, Matsue

  • From June 4 to June 8, 2018, the PhTS Management  paid a working visit to Matsue, Japan. Participated in the 10th International Conference on Direct Responses with Exotic Rays. The scientific program was devoted to the latest experimental and theoretical research and development in the field of nuclear reactions with exotic nuclei. Topics included the following sub-topics related to the direct reaction:

    - Spectroscopy of exotic nuclei, such as droplet-linear and uncoupled nuclei;

    - The structure of the shell and its evolution;

    - Bulk properties and collective excitations;

    - Nuclear astrophysics;

    - Nuclear power;

    - Achievements in the theory of direct reaction;

    - New devices for the study of direct reactions.

    In keeping with the tradition of this conference series, the meeting was informal: no material was published. The program of the meeting consisted of presentations that were selected on the basis of the abstracts presented, in addition to the main opening and closing reports. The conference program was devoted to new results, in particular, presentations of unpublished results.The conference was jointly organized by the School of Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo, Japan) and RCNP, Osaka University (Suita, Japan), as well as with the support of the RIKEN Nishin Center (Wako, Japan) . This conference is partly supported by Alpha (Asian Nuclear Physics Association).
